Q. How long do dentures last?

A. The average life of partial or complete dentures is around 5 Years.  The tissues of the mouth are constantly undergoing a change so that your dentures will have to be adjusted or refined as needed and usually once every 2 Years.  The period of time between adjustments will vary depending on your eating habits and oral health. Q. How long will dentures over implants last?

A. Studies have shown many implants last 20 years to a lifetime with proper care and regular check-ups. The dentures themselves should be replaced every 5 years or as needed with relines every 2 years. There are many factors that can affect the life of your dentures over implants and they include: overall health, eating habits, oral hygiene, smoking and grinding of teeth. Q. How often should I have a Check-Up with my Denturist?

A. To ensure that your dentures continue to fit correctly and that you are maintaining optimum oral health you should have a Check Up with a Vladimir Borozdov at least once a year and anytime you are experiencing discomfort as well. During a Check-Up, your Vladimir Borozdov will conduct an oral examination to see if your oral tissue is in good health and assess whether your dentures need repairs or relining. Early detection of tissue inflammation is important to minimize shrinkage of the supporting bone and tissue. By having your him check on your oral condition regularly, you are able to enjoy all the benefits of well fitting quality dentures.
